Latest Scholarship round supports consumer travel to the ARCS Annual Conference
AccessCR announces the awarding of CCReW Support Scholarships to support the travel of 4 consumers to the ARCS Australia Annual Conference in Sydney, 6-8 June 2023.

AccessCR announces the awarding of CCReW Support Scholarships to support the travel of 4 consumers to the ARCS Australia Annual Conference in Sydney, 6-8 June 2023.

In the latest round of CCReW Conference/Event Scholarships, we have been able to award approximately $4300 in travel support.  The recipients hail from regional NSW and VIC and will bring a diversity of backgrounds and cancer experiences to the conference.

I would like to thank ARCS Australia for covering the registration costs of the CCReW scholarship holders, enabling us to stretch our funding to cover the travel costs for more consumers than would have been otherwise possible.  We would also like to applaud ARCS Australia for their commitment to consumer inclusion in the conference, and their own support of a number of other consumers to attend the conference plus a consumer lounge and other support being made available for consumers at the conference.

I would like to thank the CCReW Believers without whom the provision of these scholarships would not be possible: Rare Cancers Australia for their financial, governance and operational support to the Scholarship Program, and Medicines Australia, TrialDocs, Lucid Health Consulting for their financial support on top of the financial and operational support we provide at AccessCR. We welcome the financial and in-kind contributions of any organisations that would like to demonstrate their support for CCReW, helping improve consumer participation and involvement in research and development.

Here's a few words from one of our grateful scholarship recipients...

I am gratful for the opportunity to learn more about the landscape for clinical trials, the latest assisted technologies and innovation, and importantly, the efforts being made to improve access, inclusion and equity in healthcare for consumers and carers.
